By Belle Marie Martinez
On July 26, 2024, and premiered globally on July 22, 2024, Deadpool and Wolverine, the third installment of the Deadpool franchise, grossed 54,175,000 dollars on its opening weekend, according to box office.pro.com.

And only since its opening weekend, it has not stopped dominating the charts by making a billion dollars attributed to Digitalspy.com, which makes it the first Marvel billion-dollar hit since 2021 Spider-Man No Way Home and as well the first movie in the Deadpool franchise to make a billion-dollar in both recent successors grossing under a billion respectively. The success of this movie makes it the second blockbuster for 2024 after the earlier summer success Inside Out 2, surpassing the only R-rated film to exceed a billion dollars other than 2019’s Joker. This movie has been in the works and under speculation for a while, but because of a conflict of assets caused by Disney buying Fox for 71 Billion dollars in 2019. As of this article’s publishing date, the movie is still a smash hit and breaking records.
